Eyüp Sultan Mosque is 3 km by road from SuperStay Eyüp Hotel, 7–12 minutes by car or taxi. The hotel is in Topçular, Eyüpsultan, at Rami Kışla Caddesi No. 41. Reception is open 24 hours and parking is free. For dawn prayer or an early visit, ask reception to call a taxi. The distance suits visitors who want to be near the mosque but away from the crowd around it.

When to go
The mosque is open to visitors through the day; during prayer times worship comes before visiting. Friday noon prayer, Ramadan and the holy nights (kandil) bring large crowds. For a quiet visit, choose a weekday morning. On busy days leave your car at the hotel and take a taxi, because parking near the mosque gets hard.
What to wear
Wear clothes that cover shoulders and knees. Women enter the mosque with a headscarf. Shoes come off at the entrance. Visitors keep quiet and queue at the tomb.
After the visit
- Pierre Loti: take the cable car near the mosque up the hill and have tea at the café overlooking the Golden Horn. You can also walk up the path through the cemetery.
- Golden Horn shore: walk down from the mosque to the waterfront.
- Rami Library: the former Rami Barracks, today a large library, 2.3 km from the hotel.
